Don't give up, but overcome together

Our mission is to offer people with acquired brain injury (NAH) a program after their rehabilitation period that allows them to continue to develop physically, mentally and emotionally. We think lifestyle and the happiness factor are great assets!

From an early age, Jelle had a determination to cycle without training wheels, and his passion for cycling quickly grew. With his ambition and perseverance, he won numerous BMX competitions and achieved impressive achievements, including 15 European titles, including silver at the World Championships, 10 podium finishes at world championships, 13 national titles and a silver Olympic medal.

The accident

In 2018, Jelle, then 27 years old, was seriously injured during training at Papendal after a collision with the chain at the bottom of the starting hill. He suffered a skull fracture, acute hemorrhages in his skull and a bruised brain. After a critical period in the hospital, he woke up from his coma after 2 weeks, with no memory of what had happened.

Overcoming together, the NAP Team quickly agreed that we wanted to express our support this year by sponsoring this Foundation with an impressive story!

The Salvation Army actively seeks out people who are homeless. We call this fieldwork. We try to find the people who live on the street and avoid care and offer them practical help. In this way we build a bridge to further assistance, where these people are often not in the picture.

A nutritious meal, cup of coffee, decent clothing, a listening ear or help if someone is completely devastated: make a donation and help us combat loneliness and be the last safety net for vulnerable people.

With the opening of our new building, we have completely donated our received gifts to this organization, and in this way we hope to contribute to people like you and me.

Ohhhhhh (NAP) come and see if my machine is still good...

Sinterklaas is almost coming (November 17st) back in our cold, rainy Netherlands, time to have your machines looked at.

Call or ordered for you December 5, the technician will bring you something tasty/ send along.

PS Please let us know that you have seen the news, so that the technician does not eat your treat himself.

Good to know: With the treats you receive from our technician, we and you also support the ZOA charity foundation!
In a world full of conflicts, injustice, poverty and disasters, ZOA contributes to hope and recovery. We do this by working to provide help, hope and recovery for people who become victims of a natural disaster or armed conflict. We provide emergency aid and also work with the local community on reconstruction. In this way, we are committed to ensuring that people can independently provide for their own livelihood again. The Christian faith is our motivation.

More and more people worldwide are losing everything due to disasters and wars. When a crisis breaks out, the most vulnerable people pay the highest price. We are there to support them with emergency assistance.

Alpe d'HuZes is a unique sporting event where as much money as possible is raised for cancer research and to improving the quality of life of people with cancer.

On the first Thursday of June, 5000 participants will climb the Alpe d'Huez, a mountain in the French Alps, cycling, running or walking. The road to the top has 21 bends and is 14,5 kilometers long. The height difference between start and finish is 1100 meters with an average gradient of 7,9%.

Cyclists go up a maximum of 6 times and walkers a maximum of 3 times. The first group starts at 4.30 am at the bottom of the mountain in Bourg d'Oisans and the finish is on top of the Alpe d'Huez. At the end of the day there is a joint final climb and the finish closes at 20.00 p.m.

The mountain road is closed to traffic all day. Supporters are welcome at the start and finish and can take a ski lift to Huez, about halfway up the mountain.

In the days surrounding the climb, there is a daily meeting to discuss the purpose of Alpe d'HuZes. From stories of researchers and participants to an explanation of the money spent.

Alpe d'HuZes is fully operational volunteers. Everyone who contributes does so on a 100% voluntary basis. From security guard and caterer to doctor and chairman.
